MESEME Studio is a London-based design and manufacturing practice led by Riya Panchal, creating evocative sculptural lighting that balances expressive form with refined craftsmanship.
Our collections are guided by modular thinking and material exploration, allowing lighting to be adapted in scale, finish and configuration to suit its space. Crafted through close collaboration with artisans and a deep sensitivity to colour, process and materiality, each piece is designed to feel both sculptural and purposeful, lighting that shapes space as much as form.
The Poetic Interplay of Light, Form & Material
Our lighting collections, both self-directed and collaborative are shaped through a dialogue between material, form and light. Each made-to-order piece reflects a commitment to craft, longevity and thoughtful production, developed through close collaboration with artisans and makers.
Designed, handcrafted and assembled in our London studio at Blackhorse Workshop, each fixture balances sculptural presence with functional clarity, creating lighting that feels considered, tactile and alive in space.

From concept to crafted light
We work closely with interior designers, architects and private clients to develop sculptural lighting for specific spaces and projects.
Projects may be realised through adaptable studio collections, customised in scale, material and finish or through bespoke lighting commissions developed in response to a brief. Each approach is grounded in material exploration, craft-led making and a clear understanding of how light shapes atmosphere.
