Mesmerik is an evolving collection of sculptural glass lights developed by lighting designer-maker Riya Panchal (Meseme Studio) and glass artist-designer Kira Phoenix K’inan (KPKinan Glass).
Combining kiln-formed, bubble-rich glass with precision-engineered metal forms, each fixture balances luminous function with sculptural presence.
When illuminated, light diffuses through the textured glass surface, revealing layered colour, depth, and subtle material variation.

DESIGN NOTE
The MESMERIK Collection emerged from a shared admiration for materiality and the expressive potential of glass. Riya Panchal and Kira Phoenix K’inan first connected through London’s design scene in 2022, brought together by a mutual curiosity for craft, colour, and experimentation. By 2024, their dialogue evolved into a formal collaboration, merging Kira’s emotive glass practice with Riya’s sculptural and technically refined approach to lighting design.
At its core, MESMERIK explores transformation through light, balancing architectural clarity with tactile warmth and artistic presence. Texture, finish, and colour play a central role throughout the collection, with each kiln-formed glass panel carrying subtle variations in bubbles, depth, and tone that celebrate the individuality of the handmade process.
Together, they unite precision and intuition, creating luminous fixtures that feel both meticulously crafted and alive with material depth — inviting light and colour to be experienced as both utility and art.
CRAFTED IN LONDON
Each MESMERIK fixture is handcrafted in our London studio through a process that combines kiln-formed glass with precision-engineered metalwork and lighting components.
The glass is individually cut, shaped, and finished by hand, carrying natural variations in texture, bubbles, and colour that form part of the collection’s character. Metal components are produced using a combination of precision machining and hand-finishing techniques, balancing technical refinement with material sensitivity.
Produced in small batches and assembled by hand, each piece reflects the dialogue between craftsmanship, experimentation, and contemporary lighting design.
