MESMERIK

Modular & Customisable Sculptural Glass & Metal Lighting Collection

Designed & First Produced

2025

Price Upon Request

Mesmerik is an evolving collection of sculptural glass lights born from the collaboration between lighting designer-maker Riya Panchal (Meseme Studio) and glass artist-designer Kira Phoenix K’inan (KPKinanGlass).

Fusing kiln-formed glass with precision-engineered forms, each fixture balances luminous function with sculptural presence. The collection offers modularity in form and customisation through a carefully curated palette of glass and metal finishes.

Table lights feature two subtly angled glass panels anchored by metal enclosures, creating a faceted, architectural silhouette. The glass is bubble-rich and tactile, shifting character between states. When unlit, it holds quiet depth and mystery. When illuminated, light diffuses through the surface, revealing its bubbled depths, layered colour, and textures - amplifying it into a liquid, radiant state.

For High-end and Collectible Interiors
Created for upscale residential interiors, boutique hospitality spaces, and design-forward studios, the collaboration offers lighting that is tactile, customisable, and emotionally resonant.

Fixtures

The initial release includes two table light sizes (Small and Large), with a wall-mounted fixture in development.

Crafted in London
Each Mesmerik fixture is handmade, uniting kiln-formed glass with precision metalwork and lighting form. The glass is cut, shaped, and finished by hand, carrying subtle variations in bubbles, textures, and colour. These variations are celebrated as part of the design language, underscoring the artisanal quality of the work.

The metal components are either precision-turned or produced using a fusion of traditional and modern techniques in our London studio. Produced in small batches, the collection unites handcraft with considered engineering, carrying both the intimacy of the handmade and the refinement of collectible design.

Design Note

Glass Artist-Designer Kira Phoenix K’inan of KPKinanGlass (Left)
Creative Director & Lighting Designer
Riya Panchal of Meseme (Right)

The MESMERIK Collection emerged from a shared admiration for materiality and the expressive potential of glass. Riya and Kira first connected through London’s design scene in 2022, drawn to each other’s curiosity and commitment to craft. By 2024, their dialogue had evolved into a formal collaboration, merging Kira’s experimental, emotive glass practice with Riya’s playful yet considered approach to sculptural, technically refined lighting design.

At its core, MESMERIK explores transformation through light, creating sculptural fixtures that balance clarity of function with a strong artistic presence.

Texture, finish, and colour play a central role in the collection. Drawing on their heritage-informed perspectives and previous explorations of colour, they have curated a thoughtful palette of glass colour-ways, paired with optimised light temperatures. Each combination is designed to harmonise with a wide range of interiors, shaping atmospheres that soothe, energise, or bring warmth.

Together, they blend precision and intuition, uniting the controlled choreography of light with the expressive, unpredictable nature of glass. In MESMERIK, technical clarity and artistic spontaneity meet, giving form to luminous fixtures that feel both meticulously crafted and alive with textural depth.

The collection celebrates the handmade within the language of contemporary collectible design, inviting us to experience light and colour as both utility and art.
